THE 2010, AVALON SPRINGS, KLEIN KAROO
THUNDER RUN 16 – 18.4.2010 !
Itinerary :
1) On Friday the 16th you meet at The Viper Lounge from 12h00 onwards and the bar as well as the kitchen
will be open. The Viper Lounge is situated in shops 4 – 6, Sea Breeze Centre, Marine Circle Drive, Table
View. Call Dieter Sowade on 082 773 6651 should you get lost.
2) Should this not work for you, you may meet the group at The Du Toitskloof Resort Hotel at around 15h00
as the group will depart The Viper Lounge at 14h00 SHARP and will have their first “dop stop” there.
PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU HAVE FILLED UP BEFORE YOU LEAVE !!!!
3) After this stop you will proceed to Bourbon Street in Robertson for the 2nd stop and if all else fails, catch
the group there.
4) Arrival at Avalon Springs around 18h00 / 18h30. WELCOME PACK , check in, and come and join the
group at Cabana Bar, The Lapa and of course the Hot Springs. Don’t forget to bring bathers and get
ready for a legendary dinner, a live band and an evening “of note”.
5) Breakfast from 7h00 to 9h30 on Saturday and at 10h00 you depart Avalon Springs for a scenic ride
through to Swellendam, Suurbraak and up the Tradouw Pass with an al fresco lunch and a cash bar half
way over the pass. PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU HAVE FILLED UP BEFORE YOU LEAVE.
6) From there you head for Willy’s Karoo Saloon for a mid afternoon dop after which its back to The Springs
for yet another evening of “braai & swaai” …………..
7) Sunday breakfast as above, after which you depart at your leisure and head back for Cape Town or
wherever.
8) Price : All inclusive of VAT with luxury accommodation, meals, live band and the use of all facilities :
R1200 pp sharing with a R300 pp single supplement. Children sharing with parents will be charged
R250.00 per child per night regardless of age. Should you stay outside the resort the following amount
will be charged for all meals at the resort: R550.00 per person.
